Text Box: Background: Professional Tuition Services was established in 2002. We provides tutors for all subjects and grades. We offer private tuition at your own home at anytime that suits you. We have tutors available all over the JHB area. How it works: Once you have completed and signed our Client Detail Form and Terms and Conditions and returned these to us. We will then proceed by identifying a suitable tutor whom will contact you directly to set up lessons. Once the lessons have been set up, Professional Tuition will issue you with a invoice. This invoice is payable upfront. The number of lessons the learner will need per week is determined by a number of factors. These factors include, how far behind the student is and of course how quickly the learner would like to get up to speed and stay up to date with current work being done in class. The tutor will do a free mini assessment just before the first paying lesson commences, here the tutor can advise the client of how many lessons per week the student may require and where the students weaknesses lie. Our Tutors: Most of our tutors are University students both post and under graduates who are majoring/specialising in the subject that they are tutoring. All of our tutors are experienced in the syllabus that they teach and a lot of our tutors have teaching practical experience. The lessons: The lesson structure is simple, with the tutor keeping up to date with what the teacher is doing in class. If the student has weaknesses that were established in previous years the tutor will advise one lesson per week to catch up and one to keep up to date with new class work. The student will be given homework by the tutor at the end of each tutoring session. It is important that the student completes this to the best of their ability so as the tutor can decipher whether the work covered in the lesson was understood. To ensure a satisfied client: If for any reason the client or the student are not happy with the tutor the Professional Tuition Services has selected for them, a replacement tutor will be asked to contact the client immediately. Success rate: We have a 98% success rate in that 98% of our students reach their goal mark after completing our programme.

How does Professional Tuition invoices work?

Lessons are charged 4 weeks in advance. Please note that we do not invoice monthly but when paid up lessons have been used up, a new invoice will be issued. Dates and times of lessons to be agreed with the tutor.

How much do the lessons cost?

Our lessons are charged for per hour. Please contact us and we will gladly send you a price list of all our available pricing options.

Where and when will the lessons take place?

Lessons are arranged by yourself and the tutor at any time that is suitable for you. Our tutors are available in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and at the weekends. These lessons will take place in the privacy of your own home.

How does a client make payment to Professional Tuition?

Payments can be made to Professional Tuition by EFT or direct deposit into account.

No refunds will be made. Paid lessons are carried over holiday periods so you will not loose any lessons that you have already paid for. All paid up lessons must be used within 3 months. Cheques can be made out to Professional Tuition Services and placed in a sealed envelope and given to the tutor.

How are lessons recorded?

Lesson times and content are recorded by tutor on a comment sheet. These sheets must be signed by the tutor and the learner or some other authorative person at your home.

What does the mini assessment include and when will it be done?

A free mini assessment will be done prior to the first paid lesson.

The mini assessment includes:

· Assessing where the learners problems lie?

· What work material the learner is using in class?

· How far behind the learner is in the school syllabus?
