To apply to be an au pair with Au Pair Professional Services, you will need to contact us to set up an appointment so we can meet with you and you can complete all relevant documentation. Once you have done this, you will then be registered with Au Pair Professional Services on an on-going basis. From here we will send your CV out to any suitable employment opportunities. If the client would like to meet with you then an interview will be set up between yourself and the client. We will continue this process until we find you suitable employment. We would obviously look for a position for you that corresponds with the suburbs you want to work in and your availability. So whether you are a student looking for part time work or a qualified and experienced person, we can help you find the best job. Frequently Asked Questions: Do I need a car and license to apply to be an au pair? Yes, you do. Do I need au pairing experience to apply? No, you don’t. Some of our families do not require the person to have previous experience. Although it is beneficial to have some experience. Do I need a first aid certificate to apply? No, not all our families require first aid training. Do I get reimbursed for travelling? Yes , you get reimbursed for the travelling you do for the family unless otherwise agreed differently between yourself and the family you find employment with. How much will I be paid? The agency advises a minimum of R40 per hour plus petrol at a minimum of R2.50 per km. You could earn anything from R40 –R80 per hour depending on your experience and qualifications. Monthly salaries are also negotiable with families.

Apply to be a Tutor: To apply to be a tutor with Professional Tuition Services, you need to send us a copy of your matric certificate and your CV. From here if we see you as a suitable person to tutor, we will send you the relevant forms to complete and return to us. We will then let you know should we get in any tutoring jobs that may be suitable according to the suburbs you can work in and the subjects and grades you can teach. Frequently Asked Questions: What times do I have to tutor? You can tutor in your free time. You will set up days and times for the lessons with the client directly. Do I have to tutor when I write exams? Yes, you do have to tutor. Please remember that when you are writing exams then the schools are also most likely writing exams or preparing to write exams and some of your learners will want to double up on their lessons. Please ensure you do not take too many lessons on that you will not cope at exam times. How much will I be paid? Please contact us for further information about tutor remuneration. Once you have returned everything to us, we will let you know what possible tuition jobs come in in your area. What subjects and grades will I teach? Professional Tuition Services offers lessons for all grades and subjects in all suburbs in Gauteng. We do however have some subjects which are more popular than others. For example the Mathematical and Scientific subjects for the high school grades are where most learners struggle and therefore require more help and more lessons.
